Meet the Creators

Maria Fe Picar

Maria Fe Picar is a San Francisco native who has performed in the Bay Area for over twenty years. While heading local productions at her studio, Ingleside Creative Arts, Maria has worked as an actor and stage director on over thirty projects including for the Dark Room, Actor’s Studio, and Mojo Theatre. She co-founded Asian Mainstream Productions when there was a need to bring more representation for Asians in film, television, and theater. Some of her works include Sin Padre (2012), All the Wrong Moves (2015), and Borderline: Mental Health in the Balance (2023).

Hope Lopez

Hope Lopez is a multidisciplinary filmmaker and Chicana activist born and raised in Southern California. She is a director, writer, producer, actor, editor, and musician with the intention of bringing accurate representation to marginalized communities through complex and intersectional characters. Hope wrote a short film, A Rose’s Thorn (2022), as well as co-wrote and produced SuperNed (2023). For her latest project, Hope co-founded and produced Let’s Get Creative (2022-Present) which brings talented creatives to the forefront.
